The current generation Genesis luxury sedan has only been on sale in North America, Korea and several other markets.
The lack of Genesis availability on other markets such as Europe now appears to come to an end soon.
Autoexpress, the leading automobile magazine in the UK, recently reported that the second-generation Genesis, which will debut at the 2014 NAIAS in January next year, may also go on sale in the UK.
The full-scale Hyundai Genesis production in Korea is scheduled to commence within the next few weeks, according to latest rumors.
The carmaker plans to manufacture both, the left-hand and right-hand drive Genesis sedans, with the latter version being planned for production in the second half of 2014.
According to company’s international sales chief, Edward Lee, Hyundai is still studying the market and hasn’t made any decission just jet, but the automaker has confirmed it plans to build a right-hand drive version of the next Genesis sedan.
If Hyundai actually offered a Genesis in the UK, it would cost around the same price as the Jaguar XF, which starts at around £30,000! [Source: Autoexpress.co.uk]
